1988 — defended Ph.D. dissertation on “The French Revolution and the Russian Political Process in the XIX and XX Centuries” at the University of Chicago.
Lectured and did research work at the State University of New York in Oswego, the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies in Harvard University, the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace of Stanford University, Columbia University, George Mason University.
Since 1991 works in Indiana University South Bend. 1991–1996 — Assistant Professor. Since 1997 — Associate Professor. Reviews publications for the “Review of International Studies” and “Princeton University Press”.
Author of more than 100 scientific works.
